We often find ourselves wondering "When will things finally fall into place?" - whether it's about our career, relationships, or personal growth. In moments of uncertainty, patience can feel like the hardest virtue to hold on to.
I once came across a story that beautifully illustrates this.
A young woman, overwhelmed by life's delays, asked her mother in frustration, "When will the right time come? It feels like it's taking forever."
Her mother smiled softly and replied. "Tell me, how long does it take for a baby to be born?"
"Nine months", the daughter said, puzzled.
The mother continued, "Imagine if a woman didn't know it takes nine months. By the third month, she grows restless and wishes for the baby to arrive sooner. What happens then?"
The daughter thought for a moment and answered, "She would feel hopeless and disappointed."
The mother nodded, "Exactly. But no amount of impatience would bring that baby any sooner - it'll come when it's ready, no sooner and no later. Life works the same way. What's meant for you will arrive at the right time. You just have to keep nurturing, trusting and giving your best."
Sometimes, growth is happening quietly - beneath the surface, beyond what we can see. Patience isn't passive; it's an act of faith in life's natural timing. 🌿
